رقابتهای پهلوانی کورش از طرف نمایندگی فدراسیون این رشته با همکاری آمریت تربیت بدنی و ورزش ولایت کندز میان ۳۰ ورزشکار برای مدت یک روز در شهر پلخمری دایر گردید.
در انجام این پیکارها از میان ورزشکاران اشتراک کننده پانزده تن آنها با شکست دادن حریفان خود به مقام های قهرمانی دست یافته و حایز مقام های اول گردیدند.
هدف از برگزاری این مسابقات رشد رشد و توسعه ورزش پهلوانی کورش میان جوانان عنوان گردیده است.
