The celebration of Sports journalists' day in the venue of National Olympic Committee
The Sports journalists' day (2nd of July) was celebrated by the National Olympic Committee and General Directorate of Sports.
The acting head of the NOC Alhajj Maulvi Abdul Wadud Haqqani, the executive chairman of the NOC, Dad Mohammad Payanda Akhtari, the head of broadcasting, Atal Mashwani, sports advisor Gulabuddin Khpalwak and Muhammad Yousuf Iftikhar, along with different media Sports reporters, sports editorial officials participated.
The acting head while addressing in the ceremony added that he is delighted to participate in the ceremony with sports journalists, he also appreciated the hard work and dedication of the sports journalist and promised his cooperation and support in the future and advised the Journalists to bring achievements in the field of sport and to represent their country in a better way.
In the opening speech of the ceremony, Atal Mashwani pointed out that they celebrate the sports journalists' day in such a situation that the country's sports are progressing due to the blessing of peace while receiving sports news from all over the country every day. He also expressed his gratitude to all the sports reporters and media for covering the country's sports programs.
On behalf of the sports journalists Sayed Ahad Saroush added that sports journalists are facing abundant challenges that need to be tackled with comprehension, mutual understanding and intellectual capacities.
The last speaker at the meeting was Dad Muhammad Payandah Akhtri. He congratulated all the sports journalists of the country on the sports journalists' day, thanked them for their cooperation and efforts and mentioned that the country's sports have improved a lot in the last two years. It is going in a good direction; he called upon the officials to pay full attention regarding sports activities in the country. He expressed his hope that the media will cover the sports development of the country as always.
At the end, the cake made on the occasion of this day was cut, gifts were distributed to the sports journalists by the sports administration and the meeting ended with covering hands to the Supreme Lord.
