رقابت‌های پهلوانی محلی کورش با اشتراک ۹۰ تن از سوی نمایندگی فدراسیون ملی کورش در همکاری با ریاست تربیت بدنی و ورزش بلخ، در قریه سارتپه ولسوالی شورتپه برگزار شد.
در فرجام این مسابقات از میان ورزشکاران اشتراک کننده ۱۵ تن آنها به نتیجه مساوی دست یافتند و ۳۰ تن دیگر آنها با شکست دادن حریفان خود قهرمانی را از آن خود کردند.
این رقابت ها به هدف رشد و توسعه ورزش های محلی و عنعنوی میان، به مدت یک شب برگزار شد.
