The meeting of Ahmadullah Wasiq with the head of the International Red Cross Committee

The Director General of Afghanistan’s Sports H.E Ahmadullah Wasiq met Mr. Alberto (The Head of ICRC) in his office.

The aim of the meeting was to tackle the complications of Disable/ Special athletes in Afghanistan.

The Head of the ICRC gave info/data regarding the constructions of Sports Gymnasium for Special athletes in Mazar-e Sharif, Nangarhar & Khost provinces, which have been spun away by some parties or unknown reasons.

Mr. Alberto, assured his full support to Afghanistan's Wheelchair Basketball Athletes and requested to collaborate with him in constructing a new gymnasium for disabled athletes in Nangarhar province.

Mr. Alberto also requested the Sports authorities to pay special attention to the Paralympic Committee as well.

The Director General of Afghanistan’s Sports thanked Mr. Alberto for his support with athletes & promised to pay special attention to the emerging problems of the athletes.

The Director General requested Mr. Alberto to coordinate his activities with the sports administration of the country in order to layover the obstacles.

At the end of the meeting, the Director General promised to head of the IRCR to give his level best for promoting sports activities in Afghanistan.
