The first round of Martial Arts contests has ended in Kabul

The contests which started 3 days ago held in 2,500 Gymnasium b/w athletes of (Uni fights & Wako Kickboxing) has ended.

H.E Ahmadullah wasiq, the Director General of Afghanistan's Sports, sports enthusiast, fans & sports officials participated in the ceremony.

H.E Ahmadullah wasiq: The Afghan athletes in Asian Olympic games are doing their level best so far in brining triumphs to the nations & also congratulated the winning athletes in Martial arts as well.

H.E Ahmadullah wasiq: we will try to work on the qualities and quantities of the athletes, he also thanked the leadership of the IEA for their undisputable support in the fields of sports and added: sports play an important role in linking countries.

He added: we are trying to dispatch Afghan athletes to all the corners of the world in order to demonstrate to the world community that Afghans are not worriers when it comes to defeating invaders & revolutions, but also champions in sports activities.

Mr. Rahmani: I congratulate the winning athletes and will try to complete the remaining four rounds effectively.

The 1st round of the contests which started 3 days ago b/w 700 athletes from 21 provinces in different weights, from which 99 athletes were selected for the National Martial Arts team.

In the 2nd round of the contests, 142 athletes will be selected for the national team.
