The Director General of Afghanistan’s Sports met with Chinese Ambassador

H.E Ahmadullah wasiq,) Director General of Afghanistan's Sports (met with the newly elected Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan H. E Zhao Sheng in his office and talked to about bilateral cooperation and mutual sustenance in the field of sports.

H.E Ahmadullah Wasiq congratulate and welcomed the Chinese Ambassador and expressed his regarding the friendship of AFG-CHINA relations along with historical commitments. He said: as we know, the Chinese Federation is actively playing their vital role in upholding of Afghanistan’s fragile economy and national projects, besides, the Chinese Federation must play their definitive role in the field of sports as well.

H.E Ahmadullah Wasiq: the people of Afghanistan adored sports, with less facilities they obtained marvelous achievements and we hoped to bring prides in Asian Olympic Games hosted by China.

H.E During this visit, Chinese Ambassador Zhao Sheng said: t I am pleased to have started my job as the new ambassador to Afghanistan and it demonstrate that Afghanistan is indispensable to China.

H.E Zhao Sheng added: Since China is helping Afghanistan as a friendly country in the social and economic fields, it is necessary to open the chapter of relations between the two countries in the field of sports as well, because sports is considered important for positive communication bridge between countries.

The Chinese ambassador also emphasized that differing viewpoints and political dealings and stances should not separate the two countries in the field of sports.

Mr. Ambassador also expressed his best wishes for the success of Afghanistan's athletes in the upcoming Asian Games.

The Athletes from 45 countries including Afghanistan, are participating in Asian Olympic Games. More than 100 athletes from 17 sports sectors, including a delegation from Afghanistan are expected to participate in Asian Olympic Games in which most the of the Athletes have already reached China.
